DescriptionVideotaped oral history interview with Lawrence Wright. A staff writer for The New Yorker, Wright is the Pulitzer Prize-winning author of The Looming Tower: Al-Qaeda and the Road to 9/11 (2006). He was a student at Woodrow Wilson High School in Dallas at the time of the assassination and later wrote about his experiences in the autobiographical book, In the New World: Growing Up with America from the Sixties to the Eighties (1987). Interview conducted at the Dallas Public Library on April 30, 2016 by Stephen Fagin. The interview is fifty-four minutes long.
Curatorial Commentary
This oral history was recorded at the downtown Dallas Public Library during the 2016 Dallas Book Festival. Lawrence Wright was a keynote speaker at the festival in a program co-sponsored by The Sixth Floor Museum.
