DescriptionOriginal 35mm color slide taken by amateur photographers Rudy and Vera Clauss showing memorial flowers left in Dealey Plaza in Dallas, TX on Saturday, November 23, 1963, the day after the assassination of President Kennedy. A single pink floral arrangement is visible resting on a concrete plinth near the north pergola in Dealey Plaza.
Curatorial Commentary
This floral arrangement, one of the earliest left in Dealey Plaza following the assassination (before most individuals left their tributes directly on the grass on either side of Elm Street) can also be prominently seen in a photograph taken by Dallas Morning News chief photographer, Tom Dillard: 1994.003.0044.0001. -- Stephen Fagin, Curator
