DescriptionVideotaped oral history interview with Alice Pretlow. As a fourth grader in 1965, Pretlow was among the first students to attend an integrated school in Batesville, Mississippi. She recalls harassment and bullying by white students on the school bus. Pretlow later visited Washington, D.C. during the 1968 Poor People’s Campaign. Interview conducted over Zoom on September 6, 2022 by Stephen Fagin. The interview is fifty-six minutes long.

In 2021, Alice Tucker Pretlow wrote an essay entitled "My Integration SuperHero," which detailed her experiences attending an integrated school in Batesville, Mississippi, beginning in the fourth grade in 1965.
