Melvin Belli, Joe Tonahill, Phil Burleson and Sam Brody spoke for Ruby; Henry Wade, Dallas County District Attorney, was the prosecutor, assisted by Jim Bowie, Bill Alexander and Frank Watts. The presiding judge was Judge Joe B. Brown. Prospective jurors examined: J. I. Richardson, Jesse R. Jones, J. H. Roper, Charles S. Toon, Frank Mesa, H. C. Connally, John A. Lampo Sr., A. H. Fawks, Clarence E. Gilmore, Marguerite Dixon, Hugh O'Neal Dancer and Hubbard L. Hill. None were selected to the jury. Transcribed by court reporters James J. Muleady and Shirley M. Stinebaugh as indicated in footnote on bottom of each page. Transcript retains original thick gray covers; pages are numbered 269 - 521, typed on thin onionskin paper.
