The presiding judge was Judge Joe B. Brown. Prospective jurors examined: George E. Slaton, Mrs. Mary E. Radcliff, Mrs. Betty L. Joshua, R. A. Coleman Jr., Rohellia Allen, Mrs. Alta Zachary, Mrs. Cleel Smith, Mrs. James Raicoff, Jim Henry Jones, Harry S. Reed, L. N. Floyd, Mrs. Betty Akin, Walter Bechtol, A. A. McKnight, Mrs. Myrtle Lane, Alfred S. Ussery, Aileen B. Shields, Mrs. Mary C. Villanueva, Mrs. Martha Messler, Pearl L. Pender, William F. Keeley Jr., Lawson Harvey Taylor, Coralea Shipp, Frank Green, R. E. Cummings, Mary E. Langford, Maggie Lee Barnett, Lloyd Law and Mrs. Louise Malone. Aileen Shields and Louise Malone were selected to the jury. Transcript retains original gray covers; pages are numbered 2287 - 2625, typed on thin onionskin paper.
