Curatorial Commentary
During President Kennedy's brief two-and-a-half hour visit to San Antonio on November 21, 1963, it was estimated that approximately 100,000 people turned out along the presidential party's twenty-six mile motorcade route. This included a number of classrooms full of schoolchildren who were led by teachers from nearby schools along the parade route. - Stephen Fagin, Curator
