DescriptionVideotaped oral history interview with Marion Kwan. The daughter of Chinese immigrants, Kwan joined the Delta Ministry in 1965 and spent two summers working as a civil rights activist in Mississippi. She later protested the Vietnam War as part of the American Friends Service Committee (AFSC).
Interview conducted via Zoom on April 16, 2025 by Stephen Fagin. The interview is one hour and fifteen minutes long.
Curatorial CommentaryMarion Kwan's incredible career in social activism has been documented through a couple of oral history interviews with other institutions. She was interviewed for the Veterans of the Civil Rights Movement Archive in 2016 (Veterans of the Civil Rights Movement -- Marion Kwan).
